Roundhouse Wedding Flowers - September 22, 2012

Our first event at Roundhouse happened on September 22, 2012.  This bride wanted a very simple, classic white/cream blush look for her centerpieces designed in hobnob mason jars. These tables were not completely set yet but with the glassware, place settings, menu cards, and candles, this was a nice soft look for the space. Can't wait to see the photographer's professional photos when we get them!

For the bouquets, the bride requested a bouquet with anemones, lilies, roses, and...wait for it...baby's breath....(screech, hault!).  What? Yes, it seems that baby's breath is starting to be requested due to the ever so popular vintage romantic trend.  Next year we have a wedding where baby's breath is the only flower in tall glass vases with hanging votives and crystals... who knew!

We can't wait to feature the photographer's images of our flowers to show you the complete overall look...stay tuned!

Looking Back - 2010's Weddings and Event Highlights..

A Grand June Wedding at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York Flowers by Engaging Floral Designs The aisle markers that were used at the ceremony which took place at St. Theresa's Church in Trumbull, CT were repurposed to decorate the mantle and cocktail tables at Trump National Golf Club. It was a good way to get additional use out of the pieces site. Onsite we had replenished these pieces with beautiful hydrangeas, dahlias, roses, bells of ireland, lisianthus and other delicate flowers in the blue/creamy white/green color scheme. The sweetheart table was adorned with a lush draping arrangement of the same flowers including white stock and ruscus. There were 20 centerpieces in total so it was plenty to do half as low arrangements and the other half as tall candelabra centerpieces. It saved the bride some money to do some low instead of all high. The containers/candelabras were rental pieces that the florist provided and setup. In the foyer, a large escort ...

Orchids and Curly Willow Arrangements

Here's a simple look for those that are not big flower fans but want to still have pieces that make a statement in a room with very high ceilings.  Trumpet vases with white dendrobium orchids, oncidium yellow orchids and tall curly willow branches.

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable moments of your life, and what better way to cherish those memories than with a creative guest book alternative? Sure there’s always the Polaroid Photo DIY Guest Book, but let’s take the ideas up a notch! Here are 5 unique wedding guest keepsakes that capture the essence of your special day while also having a functional purpose to enjoy for years to come: 1. Anniversary Wine Bottles: Anniversary wine bottle guest books are a unique and romantic twist on the traditional guest book concept. Instead of signing a book, guests write messages on individual wine bottles to be enjoyed by the couple on future anniversaries (or first milestones as a married couple such as “first baby”, “first home”, “first holiday”).  2. Guest Book Bench: Have guests sign a wooden bench or stool with markers. After the wedding, place the bench in your garden or entryway as functional seating with sentimental value. 3. Travel Map Guest Book: Use a map of the wor...
